What You’ll Do
- Compile material quantities for plumbing projects and maintenance tasks
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on government buildings
- Monitor and report on project progress and assist in managing Tradesman Aid and Learners
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993
- Participate in expeditions to assist other regional offices as needed
- Work in confined spaces and climb ladders for inspections and maintenance tasks
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and its regulations
- General knowledge of electrical tools and equipment used in plumbing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing and working in confined spaces
