What You’ll Do
- Design and oversee production according to client specifications and production capabilities.
- Produce high-quality objects using various materials and equipment while ensuring adherence to recognised standards.
- Conduct inspections and perform maintenance on equipment and facilities to identify and rectify technical faults.
- Ensure that all serviced and maintained equipment meets established quality assurance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities, including updates to registers.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team to provide specifications for procurement.
- Compile and submit necessary reports as required, contributing to operational planning.
- Uphold safety standards and regulations in all aspects of work.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
- Engage in research and literature studies to enhance technical expertise and knowledge of new technologies.
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of five years post-qualification experience as an Artisan in mechanical roles.
- Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong technical analysis abilities and familiarity with computer-aided engineering applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal compliance and technical report writing.
- Proficiency in production processes and related skills.
- Effective decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving capabilities, along with conflict management skills.
