What You’ll Do

  • Verify military pension cases and claims for accuracy
  • Process incoming documents and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Manage the barcoding and linking of applications
  • Identify and address duplicate claims
  • Capture new applications and generate unique MP numbers
  • Prepare error letters to request missing documentation
  • Conduct manual calculations for complex pension cases
  • Handle customer queries and provide effective solutions
  • Monitor dependents’ allowances and ensure compliance
  • Interact with the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and other departments for efficient service delivery
  • Prepare and submit system reports regarding military pension liabilities

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12/Senior Certificate with 1–2 years of relevant experience in military pension administration
  • A recognized National Diploma (360 credits) is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy
  • Knowledge of the Military Pensions Act and related policies
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence
