What You’ll Do
- Implement and manage the administrative operations of the office.
- Perform various general administrative activities to support the unit.
- Draft submissions, reports, memorandums, and minutes for the unit.
- Manage records and documents both manually and electronically.
- Assist in completing and processing subsistence claims.
- Track incoming work and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
- Administer leave arrangements and process necessary forms related to claims and payments.
- Type correspondence as required and oversee office equipment maintenance.
- Provide logistical support within the functional unit.
- Promote innovation and service delivery within the unit.
- Support the implementation of effective risk and compliance management practices.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and resource management.
- Coach and guide staff on best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Office Management and Technology, Business Management, Administration Management, or a related field at NQF Level 6.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in administration is required.
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulation and various filing systems.
- Understanding of departmental legislations and prescripts.
- Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and National Treasury Regulations.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes.
- Required skills: analytical thinking, planning and organizing, problem-solving, financial administration, interpersonal skills, and customer focus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong communication skills.
