What You’ll Do
- Authorise payments using the BAS and Logis systems to ensure timely financial transactions.
- Monitor compliance with financial policies and provide feedback on internal control audit findings.
- Maintain and clear asset and liability accounts to support accurate financial reporting.
- Manage revenue and petty cash administration to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Compile annual financial statements, oversee in-year monitoring, and manage lease agreements.
- Assist with human resource development and management within the finance component.
- Provide support to your supervisor and collaborate with the finance team on various projects.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject, or relevant experience that aligns with the role’s key performance areas.
- Appropriate experience in financial and expenditure management.
- Strong knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and National and Provincial Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in the Accounting Officer’s System of the Department of Health.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to effectively manage administrative tasks.
