What You’ll Do
- Oversee the receipt and registration of criminal cases within the Forensic Services Laboratory’s IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures for handling cases.
- Safeguard and manage the storage of registered cases, ensuring optimum safekeeping.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients regarding case management.
- Monitor and resolve any issues related to problem cases effectively.
- Prepare court statements and provide testimony as required.
- Distribute and oversee the use of physical resources within the department.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- At least four years of experience relevant to the role.
- A three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and one other official language.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles is a plus.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
