Key Responsibilities

Requirements/Qualifications

Eligible applicants must be South African citizens who have completed Matric and are studying or planning to study full-time in a Film or Television-related field at a recognized South African tertiary institution. A minimum academic average of 60% is required for current students, and applicants must demonstrate financial need with a household income below R600,000 per year.

Benefits

The NFVF bursary covers full tuition fees and may provide additional funding for first-year students, which can be used for accommodation, meals, textbooks, computers, software, and other approved academic resources. However, travel expenses, outstanding student debt, and unsupported expenses are not covered.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on financial need, academic performance, motivation, demographic considerations, and the relevance of the qualification to the Film and Television industry.
