  • Completed Matric
  • Intend to pursue an undergraduate qualification in 2026
  • Accepted or provisionally accepted at a recognized South African university
  • Meet the academic requirements of the chosen institution
  • Financially needy, with a household income not exceeding R350,000 per annum
  • Agree to the bursary policy

Students from indigent families are strongly encouraged to apply, even if their chosen field of study is not listed.

  • A signed application letter addressed to the Municipal Manager, stamped by the respective Ward Councillor
  • Matric final results or certificate
  • Proof of application/acceptance/provisional acceptance from the institution
  • Quotation for registration fees
  • Fee structure quotation, including accommodation and textbooks (for continuing students)
  • Parents’/Guardians’ proof of household income: latest payslips (if employed), affidavit (if unemployed), or proof of SASSA grant (if applicable)
