Requirements/Qualifications

• South African citizenship
• From a previously disadvantaged background or rural community
• Currently in Matric or completed Matric
• Intending to study full-time in one of the specified fields
• Acceptance at a recognized and accredited South African university
• Not a staff member of the Department

Academic Requirements

• BSc studies: Minimum Level 5 (60%-69%) in Mathematics and Physical Science or Geography
• Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum Level 4 (50%-59%) in Mathematics and Physical Science
• Diploma: Minimum Level 4 (50%-59%) in Mathematics and Physical Science
