About the Opportunity
The Water Research Commission (WRC) is seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join its 24-month Internship and Work Integrated Learning Programme. This initiative is designed to provide graduates with essential workplace experience and TVET learners with the practical exposure required to complete their National Diploma. Key Responsibilities
Interns will engage in various fields, including Human Resource Management, Legal and Auxiliary Services, Office Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, Information Technology, Risk Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Stakeholder Relations and Communications. Each role will require participants to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges, contributing to the WRC’s mission of advancing water research and innovation.
Requirements/Qualifications
– Graduate Applicants: Must hold a National Diploma, Degree, or higher qualification at NQF Level 6 or above.
– TVET Applicants: Must possess an N6 Certificate and an official letter from their TVET College confirming the need for Work Integrated Learning.
– General Requirements: Applicants must be unemployed South African citizens, preferably aged 18-35, and should not have participated in a previous internship programme. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
