What You’ll Do
- Escort judges to and from court sessions, ensuring their safety and punctuality.
- Assist in managing courtroom proceedings, including the distribution of documents and exhibits.
- Provide support to litigants with court-related inquiries and assist in navigating court-on-line services.
- Perform general messenger duties inside and outside the court, including the collection and distribution of mail, parcels, and legal documents.
- Photograph and copy court documents and judgments as requested.
- Support administrative functions during court terms and recess, as directed by the Chief Registrar and Court Manager.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 10 Certificate is required; a Grade 12 Certificate is advantageous.
- No prior experience is necessary; however, at least one year of experience in general administration is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge with intermediate skills viewed as a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Planning and organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
