What You’ll Do

  • Capture receipts and journals on the BAS (Basic Accounting System).
  • Process debtor’s accounts to ensure timely billing and payments.
  • Monitor PEIS (Patient Electronic Information System) accounts for accuracy.
  • Administer billing for PAIA (Promotion of Access to Information Act) accounts.
  • Collect cash and make deposits as needed.
  • Prepare reconciliations and financial reports for submission.
  • Request and compile BAS reports for Treasury submissions.
  • Consolidate revenue information from various healthcare facilities for analysis.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or Management Accounting as recognized by SAQA.
  • Knowledge and experience in public finance administration, focusing on the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and financial software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good management and supervisory abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
