What You’ll Do

• Distribute Persal salary reports and payment schedules from the computer room.
• Provide financial information on all operational aspects of departmental bank accounts.
• Assess and report on compliance with accounting-related legislative requirements.
• Assist departments with bi-annual, year-end, and revised tax reconciliation.
• Render effective filing and records management services.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Finance / Accounting or equivalent NQF 06 qualification.
• A Degree Qualification or NQF 07 will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a Public Finance or Administration environment.
• Sound knowledge of PERSAL, BAS, and Walker systems, as well as the Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA).
• Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Skills Development Act, and Income Tax Act.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a client-oriented focus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside good interpersonal relations.
