What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate the provision of management accounting services to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare and capture budget information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Compile necessary financial documents for strategic planning and reporting processes.
  • Monitor monthly cash flow and make adjustments as needed to align with expenditure estimates.
  • Generate timely and accurate monthly and quarterly performance reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various components to compile standardized monitoring reports for departmental oversight.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification along with a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Cost and Management Accounting, or B Comm Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial administration or auditing.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Familiarity with GPG and departmental policies, the Public Service Regulatory Framework, and financial reporting procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside technical proficiency in financial systems.

Requirements

Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF level 6)/ Degree (NQF level 7) in Finance/Cost and Management Accounting / B Comm Accounting or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA.

1-2 years appropriate/relevant years of experience in financial administration and auditing environment.

A valid driver’s license.

Competencies: knowledge of GPG and Departmental policies and procedures, Public Service Regulatory Framework, reporting procedures, Division of Revenue Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, BAS, SAP and other information management systems.

Public service budget process and Customer service.

Skills: Verbal communication, written communication, Interpersonal skills, technical skills.

Job Duties

To facilitate the provision of management accounting services.

Collate financial supporting information for planning purposes, prepare and capture budget information, populate standard/routine reporting documents, Collate the necessary financial supporting documents required for the strategic and annual performance planning process, Collate the relevant financial information required in the evaluation and development of business and project plans.

Prepare necessary information required for the completion of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) budgeting process and populate templates, provided by the treasury, Prepare the necessary information required for the 188 compilation of the Estimates of Provincial Expenditure in compliance with Provincial Treasury guidelines.

Consolidate inputs and balance the monthly cash flow and adjusted cash flow to the estimates of expenditure/adjusted estimates of expenditure, Record the adjustments on the accounting system, Capture the approved rollovers on the accounting system, Compile monthly and quarterly performance reports timeously and accurately, Review monthly transactions per program from BAS, update expenditure reports with commitments, Compile performance reports for stakeholders monthly, Collate and capture management accounting information on monthly reporting templates, Compile the standardized in year monitoring report for the department, based on templates received from various components

Salary

R338 106 per annum, (plus benefits)
