What You’ll Do

  • Provide advanced social work services to vulnerable individuals, families, and communities.
  • Manage the Developmental Social Welfare Services Programmes in line with legislation and policies.
  • Facilitate the planning and development of interventions to enhance social work services.
  • Oversee the efficient use of resources, ensuring financial accountability.
  • Lead a social work unit to deliver effective and efficient social services.
  • Stay current with developments in social work and management practices.
  • Conduct complex social work research and compile comprehensive reports.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and a B Degree in Social Work.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in social work post-registration.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role within Developmental Welfare Services.
  • Valid South African driver’s license.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Solid understanding of human behavior and social systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
