What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough asset verification for owned and leased assets
- Regularly update the asset and lease registers
- Barcode newly acquired assets for tracking and management purposes
- Reconcile asset expenditures against the asset register
- Maintain accurate records for new asset additions and leases
- Facilitate the disposal of unserviceable or redundant assets
- Manage a register of lost assets with supporting documentation
- Assist in resolving audit queries to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Provide support for leased asset inquiries and disposals
- Oversee cash and revenue management services
- Deliver bookkeeping and financial accounting services
- Manage fixed asset registers effectively
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Internal Auditing, or Cost and Management Accounting (NQF Level 6)
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, including 2 years at a supervisory level in financial management
- Strong knowledge of financial functions, practices, and data capture
- Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations
- Proficiency in financial operating systems (PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS, COLTECH, SAGE, etc.)
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to perform routine tasks
- Strong planning and organizational skills with good verbal and written communication abilities
- Commitment to client service, integrity, and proactive problem-solving
