What You’ll Do

  • Manage and administer departmental revenue, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and ensure timely transfer of revenue to the Provincial Revenue Fund.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly financial reports, including revenue projections and budget estimates.
  • Clear bank exceptions and reconcile bank accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Support the collection of debts and maintain the debt register.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and financial institutions.
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure all reports are accurately filled and secured.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts to ensure their correctness.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF level 6 qualification in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, or Financial Information Systems as recognized by SAQA.
  • At least 2 years of functional experience in Financial Management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations such as PFMA and SCOA.
  • Skills in report writing, analytical thinking, and policy interpretation.
  • Proficiency in government financial systems and software.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with an ability to manage conflicts effectively.
