What You’ll Do
- Supervise and manage financial processes to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare monthly variance reports for review by National Treasury.
- Conduct research on cash flow management trends and internal controls.
- Align internal controls with GPAA policies and strategic guidelines from the Auditor General.
- Monitor compliance with developed internal controls and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Prepare reconciliations of General Ledger accounts and provide financial reporting services.
- Compile expenditure reports and financial reports to track turnaround times and error rates.
- Oversee cash flow management processes and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Assist in preparing annual and quarterly financial statements for audit purposes.
- Facilitate transfer payments and ensure that all financial activities are aligned with the budget.
What You’ll Need
- A recognized National Diploma or Degree in Financial Management or Financial Accounting (360 credits) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance Management Accounting, including supervisory experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial management/accounting field without a supervisory requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting Requirements for Retirement Funds in South Africa and the Pension Fund environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and attention to detail.
