What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify procurement requirements.
- Ensure all requisitions comply with departmental policies and regulations.
- Facilitate secretariat services for departmental SCM bid committees.
- Determine appropriate procurement methods and specifications for goods and services.
- Oversee payment processes for RT contracts and related invoices.
- Compile and monitor procurement and demand plans.
- Facilitate timely reporting of SCM information as required.
- Review sourcing strategies and propose improvements related to procurement regulations.
- Supervise the SCM unit, ensuring a collaborative and productive environment.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a National Diploma or advanced certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
- At least two years of relevant experience in a Supply Chain Management, Demand, or Acquisition environment.
- Knowledge of transversal contracts and the prescripts governing Supply Chain Management, including PFMA, PPPFA, and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications and software relevant to supply chain management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Capability to work under pressure, independently or as part of a team.
- Skills in financial management, conflict resolution, and change management.
