About the Role
The Department of Employment and Labour is looking for a Senior Practitioner: Human Resource Development to join their team in the Provincial Office located in Kimberley, Northern Cape. In this integral role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing Human Resource Development initiatives across the province, which play a crucial part in enhancing the capabilities of public service employees. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the implementation of Human Resource Development initiatives throughout the Northern Cape.
- Oversee the Performance Management System to enhance staff performance and accountability.
- Implement and manage Internship and Learnership Programmes to provide valuable work experience.
- Facilitate Orientation and Induction Programmes for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the department.
- Manage resources, including human, financial, and equipment assets, within the division effectively.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management, Development, or a related field at NQF Level 6, recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of two years of functional experience in Human Resource Development or Training and Development.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Public Service Act, Public Finance Management Act, and Labour Relations Act.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and proficiency in computer literacy.
- Demonstrated abilities in project management, people management, and problem-solving.

Requirements
An undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management / Development / Training and Development / Management of Training / Public Management / Public Management / Industrial and Organisational Psychology at NQF Level 6 as recognised by SAQA.Driver’s license will be an added advantage.
Two (2) years functional experience in Human Resource Development / Training and Development / Performance Management Services.
