About the Role
The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner: Employee Relations to join their Provincial Office in Kimberley, Northern Cape. What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough analysis and resolution of grievances and complaints from employees in the province.
- Draft charges and finalize misconduct cases, ensuring adherence to legal frameworks.
- Represent the department at the GPSSBC and CCMA in disputes, advocating for fair resolutions.
- Facilitate advocacy sessions on employment-related matters to educate employees.
- Provide essential administrative support to enhance the efficiency of the Employee Relations section.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Human Resource Management or Labour Relations Management as recognised by SAQA.
- A minimum of two years’ functional experience in an Employment Relations Management environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public service regulations, labour laws, and relevant policies.
- Strong skills in negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving.
- Proficient in communication, report writing, and computer literacy.

Requirements
An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Human Resource Management/Labour Relations Management as recognised by SAQA.Driver's License will be an added advantage.
Two (2) years must be functional experience in Employment Relations Management environment.
Knowledge: Public Service Commission's rules for dealing with complaints and grievances.
Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council resolutions.
Interpretation of case law and trends in Labour Law.

Job Duties
