What You’ll Do

  • Provide financial accounting support to provincial departments and entities.
  • Assist with audit-related functions and compliance within finance divisions.
  • Strengthen internal controls to promote sound financial practices.
  • Evaluate and review Post Audit Action Plans to ensure effective implementation.
  • Advise on the preparation and submission of interim and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct technical reviews of submissions regarding unauthorized, irregular, and wasteful expenditure.
  • Collaborate with departments to enhance compliance with financial regulations.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support department objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a National Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Finance/Accounting (NQF 6); NQF 7 is advantageous.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in an accounting or auditing environment.
  • A valid driver’s license for travel purposes.
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with strategic and operational insight.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to client orientation.
