Senior Financial Accountant CA(SA)

A company is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant CA(SA) to manage and oversee financial accounting functions. Based in South Africa, this role requires ownership of key accounting processes including debtors, creditors, and bank clearing.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the debtors, creditors, and bank clearing functions, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and current.
Maintain strict control over all sub-ledgers, ensuring no backlog or unexplained variances.
Regularly review ageing debtors and creditors, applying judgement to identify and address any anomalies before they escalate.
Oversee the monthly expense processing and payment cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
Lead and mentor the finance team to maintain high standards of accounting discipline and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with relevant experience in managing comprehensive accounting functions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reconciliation and ledger management.
