What You’ll Do

  • Administer the disposal process for redundant residential properties, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Conduct thorough research to obtain information necessary for informed property disposal decisions.
  • Compile and present reports on property disposals and budget reviews to the Supply Chain Management team.
  • Liaise with the Regional Land Claims Commission to verify claims against properties earmarked for disposal.
  • Supervise and provide administrative support to staff, ensuring efficient service delivery within the department.
  • Facilitate the valuation of properties and oversee the financial processes involved in the disposal of fixed assets.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation efforts for approved projects within the regional offices.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6) or a National Diploma in Real Estate Management, Property Law, or a related field.
  • Relevant working experience in property management or administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), financial administration, and procurement procedures.
  • Familiarity with reporting procedures, the Government Immovable Asset Management Act (GIAMA), and the Disposal Act.
  • Strong report writing, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to organize and plan effectively.
  • A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel as required by the role.
