What You’ll Do

  • Assist in developing and processing statistics related to the PSET sector.
  • Prepare submissions, memorandums, factsheets, and regional reports.
  • Support the implementation of data collection standards and protocols.
  • Manage logistics and provide administrative support as required.
  • Coordinate data collection activities from various stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with project plans, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the submission of data logbooks and processing of data requests.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in Public Administration or Social Sciences.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in administering and coordinating statistical publications.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate data collection activities effectively.
  • Experience within the PSET sector or familiarity with PSET-related data is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of project management, report writing, and organizing information.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in public administration/social sciences.

This must be supported by a minimum of (2) two to three (3) years of work experience in administering and coordinating the development of statistical publications.

The candidate must demonstrate the capacity to plan and coordinate data collection activities from various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project plans, deliverables and reporting requirements.

Experience within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) sector or its entities and understanding of the PSET-related data will be advantageous.

Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Ms Outlook and 80 PowerPoint is required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, project management, report writing, and ability to arrange and systematise information.

A valid driver’s license.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Deputy Director: Data Analyst, under the Sub-Directorate: Information Management and Reporting.

The responsibilities include assisting with the development, processing, approval and dissemination of the Statistics on PSET, assist with preparation of submissions, memorandums, development of factsheets and regional reports for the PSET sector, assist with the development and implementation of standards, assist with submission of data logbooks and processing of data requests and provide logistical and administrative support when required.

Salary

R413 001 per annum (Level 08)
