What You’ll Do

  • Authorise the entry and exit of equipment, documents, and stores into and out of the premises.
  • Inspect and report any malfunctioning security equipment, including X-ray machines and CCTV.
  • Monitor access control to prevent unauthorised entry into buildings.
  • Provide support and response during emergencies, ensuring appropriate measures are taken.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations into incidents and submit detailed reports.
  • Oversee control room activities and monitor alarm systems effectively.
  • Compile monthly reports on security and occupational health and safety matters.
  • Manage personnel matters, including leave and performance monitoring.
  • Administer the key control system and manage outsourced security services.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification is essential.
  • A Grade B PSIRA certificate is required.
  • A minimum of three years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of security policies, emergency procedures, and access control measures.
  • Proficient in MS Office and possess strong communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and planning skills.
