What You’ll Do
- Supervise security personnel to ensure effective guarding of the Provincial Headquarters.
- Manage the safe and legal entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
- Conduct inspections and maintain all relevant security registers.
- Oversee patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
- Enforce access control measures and report any security breaches.
- Handle administrative matters related to security reliefs and control room operations.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and manage the Facial Recognition ANPR System.
What You’ll Need
- Competency in the core functions of security supervision.
- Proficiency in English and one other official language.
- South African citizenship with proof provided at the interview.
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF level 4.
- At least 3 years of experience in a security-related role.
- Registration with PSIRA, with a minimum Grade B security certificate.
- Willingness to undergo firearm competency training and maintain firearm competency.
- Clean criminal record and no pending departmental cases.
- Relevant qualifications in security management, policing, or criminology are advantageous.
- Knowledge of access control procedures and emergency protocols.
