What You’ll Do

  • Implement access control measures according to relevant legislation.
  • Verify the identity of employees, visitors, and contractors at security points.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitors and their movements with a visitor’s register.
  • Authorize entry and escort visitors as per departmental guidelines.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises and fenced-off areas.
  • Monitor the entry of supplies and equipment to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
  • Report any security deficiencies or incidents to senior personnel promptly.
  • Check and maintain security equipment, addressing any issues as they arise.

What You’ll Need

  • Proficiency in English and one other official language.
  • South African citizenship with required proof at the interview.
  • A Grade 10/Standard 8/NCV Level 2 certificate.
  • Valid registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
  • A Grade C security certificate or higher.
  • Willingness to undergo firearm competency training and maintain certification.
  • Valid driver’s license for a light motor vehicle is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours.
  • Knowledge of access control procedures and security protocols.
