What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Section Head, including managing correspondence and phone calls.
- Organize and prepare for meetings, including drafting agendas and taking minutes.
- Liaise with other sections and components to facilitate smooth communication and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping and filing systems, ensuring easy access to important documents.
- Handle confidential information and documents with the utmost care and professionalism.
- Process and submit claims, and manage travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Manage the diary of the Section Head and coordinate visits from stakeholders.
- Operate standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, and photocopiers.
- Assist in managing office inventory and serving refreshments during meetings.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4).
- A minimum of four years of experience in a secretarial or administrative role.
- An applicable three-year Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- General computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and display professional accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
