What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Section Head.
  • Arrange and prepare meetings, including drafting agendas and taking minutes.
  • Manage the office’s incoming calls, screening and directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain an organized filing and record-keeping system, including confidential documents.
  • Process claims and make travel and accommodation arrangements as needed.
  • Oversee the Section Head’s diary, scheduling appointments and hosting visitors.
  • Operate standard office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and photocopiers.
  • Manage office inventory and serve refreshments during meetings.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
  • At least four years of experience in a secretarial or administrative role.
  • A relevant three-year diploma or degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official South African language.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with general computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally under pressure.
