The Department of Finance is seeking a skilled SCM Officer (Creditors Payment) to join its dedicated team in Mmabatho. What You’ll Do
- Process creditors’ payments within 30 days to ensure timely financial transactions.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and check supporting documents for authenticity.
- Input invoices into the procurement system accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and submit paid batches for filing, maintaining organized records.
- Respond to queries related to creditors’ reconciliation and payment processes.
- Handle payment issues related to salaries and verify claims for compliance.
- Maintain a detailed record of payment batches to support financial accountability.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 with two years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management, or a National Diploma/Advance Certificate in SCM or equivalent with one year of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in procurement systems such as Walker or Logis.
- Knowledge of regulations governing Supply Chain Management, including PFMA and PPPFA.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to support decision-making.
