What You’ll Do

• Conduct effective scientific analysis related to forensic toxicology.
• Develop and validate laboratory methods to improve service delivery.
• Engage in research and innovation to generate new knowledge in toxicology.
• Provide support in maintaining the Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards and quality control measures.
• Participate in human capital development through training and mentorship.
• Operate specialized analytical instrumentation and perform laboratory-based work.

What You’ll Need

• A Science Degree (BSc) (Hon) or a relevant qualification enabling registration as a Professional Natural Scientist.
• Registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a Professional Natural Scientist.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification natural scientific experience.
• Familiarity with forensic toxicology principles and analytical chemistry techniques.
• Experience operating LC-MS/MS instrumentation and adhering to laboratory safety procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
