What You’ll Do

  • Provide a patient-focused radiographic imaging service over a 24-hour period.
  • Perform and identify the most appropriate diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Ensure high quality and safety standards through effective risk management.
  • Conduct quality assurance and ensure optimal care of radiographic equipment.
  • Support professional development through training of staff and students.
  • Assist the Chief and Assistant Director with daily operational activities.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required for RSA qualified candidates; 1 year relevant experience for foreign qualified candidates.
  • For Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience for RSA qualified candidates; 11 years for foreign qualified candidates.
  • For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience for RSA qualified candidates; 21 years for foreign qualified candidates.
  • Knowledge of theatre, mobile, fluoroscopy, general radiography, CT, and MRI.
  • Proficiency in Patient Archiving and Communication Systems.
  • Computer literacy in MS Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
