What You’ll Do

  • Provide holistic nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards.
  • Effectively utilize resources and maintain professional growth and ethical standards.
  • Offer support to nursing services across various departments and wards.
  • Participate in training, research, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Ensure comprehensive nursing treatment and care for patients, particularly in a Mental Health Unit.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of recognisable experience in nursing after registration with SANC.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of recognisable experience in nursing after registration with SANC.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including day and night duty, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Competency in nursing care processes and procedures, along with good computer literacy (MS Office, MS Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write reports effectively.
