What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care within established professional standards.
  • Assist in the management of nursing services and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Promote quality assurance, infection control, and occupational health and safety.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in data collection and research activities.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality client care.
  • Support the Operational Manager and act as a shift leader, coordinating nursing operations after hours.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and uphold ethical standards within nursing practice.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant nursing experience for Grade 1; 14 years for Grade 2, with significant experience in trauma or emergency care.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and sound knowledge of nursing legislation and policies.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and train team members.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
