What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized clinical nursing care in the operating theatre setting.
• Identify nursing care needs and plan and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
• Supervise and support clinical staff with procedures within the specialty area.
• Utilize human, material, and physical resources effectively.
• Engage in ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies related to nursing.
• Display strong leadership and interpersonal skills while managing patient care under pressure.

What You’ll Need

• A Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows for registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• A post-basic qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• Experience:
• Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years post-registration nursing experience.
• Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years post-registration nursing experience, with at least 10 years in the specialty area.
• Basic computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
