What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care within the ICU, adhering to professional and legal standards.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Utilize resources efficiently to ensure optimal patient care and support.
- Participate in outreach services and educational programs for community and staff development.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data collation and reporting for effective healthcare delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 qualification or equivalent, allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Post-basic nursing qualification in Critical Care Nursing or a relevant field, with SANC accreditation.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in nursing for Grade 1 and 14 years for Grade 2, with specific experience in Critical Care.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, report writing skills, and basic computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
