What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Transport patients to various service areas, including the operating theatre.
• Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with dignity and respect.
• Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to relevant departments.
• Collect and deliver specimens in a timely manner.
• Assist in offloading patients from ambulances and private vehicles to stretchers.
• Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor immediately.
• Render mortuary services, including recording and storing corpses accurately.
• Maintain and clean all equipment used in your duties.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
