What You’ll Do

  • Support the efficient functioning of pharmaceutical services in Khayelitsha Sub District PHC sites.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and policies in pharmaceutical care.
  • Manage the procurement, storage, control, distribution, and discarding of pharmaceuticals.
  • Monitor and manage the pharmaceutical budget and expenditure for compliance.
  • Supervise Pharmacists Assistants to enhance productivity and staff development.
  • Provide safe and reliable pharmaceutical care to patients in the community.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic qualification accredited with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) allowing registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Registration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist is mandatory.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required for SA-qualified employees; 1 year of relevant experience for foreign-qualified employees.
  • For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience for SA-qualified employees; 6 years for foreign-qualified employees.
  • For Grade 3: Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience for SA-qualified employees; 14 years for foreign-qualified employees.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to perform relief duties at pharmacies.
  • Knowledge of National and Provincial Health Policies and Pharmaceutical Acts.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
