What You’ll Do

  • Effectively control and manage pharmaceutical stock levels.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care, including dispensing medication to patients.
  • Assist in the collection and accurate record-keeping of pharmacy data.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to promote pharmaceutical advisory services.
  • Ensure quality health services are maintained at all times.
  • Participate in after-hours duties as required.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification that allows registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
  • Registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
  • Grade 1: No experience required post-registration; Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years experience; Grade 3: Minimum of 13 years experience as a Pharmacist Assistant.
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of National and Provincial Health Policies, the Medicines Act, and the Pharmacy Act.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
