What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the HOD, managing communications and inquiries.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the HOD’s office.
  • Organize and manage diaries, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Handle correspondence and ensure timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain an efficient document management and tracking system.
  • Record minutes of meetings and follow up on decisions made.
  • Monitor the office budget, tracking expenses and ensuring proper reporting.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support other members of the branch as needed to enhance office efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate and an appropriate National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration, Management, or Office Management.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant administrative support experience.
  • A valid South African driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational skills and knowledge of administrative procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • A high level of reliability and discretion in handling sensitive information.
