What You’ll Do

  • Provide patient care in various settings, including outpatient services, wards, and ICUs.
  • Participate in academic and teaching programs to mentor and train undergraduates.
  • Attend ward rounds and tutorials to ensure effective patient management.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation for all patients.
  • Offer after-hours care for emergency services as needed.
  • Engage in outreach activities to support community health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors to ensure high standards of patient care.

What You’ll Need

  • A tertiary qualification (MBCHB) or equivalent.
  • Current registration for Independent Practice as a Medical Specialist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and FCP.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a specialist is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical practice ethics and patient rights.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to innovate in patient care.
  • A willingness to work overtime and engage in continuous learning and research.
