What You’ll Do

• Provide specialist clinical services and comprehensive medical care for in- and out-patients.
• Manage resources effectively to ensure financial sustainability within the hospital.
• Adhere to all people management requirements and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Create a supportive and educational atmosphere for both junior staff and students, enhancing their learning experience.
• Offer outreach and support services at primary care and district levels.
• Coordinate clinical governance and manage administrative responsibilities effectively.
• Complete and submit necessary medical reports and documentation for legal and administrative purposes.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to maintain HPCSA registration.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• For Grade 1: No prior experience required post-registration.
• For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist post-registration.
• For Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist post-registration.
• A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise staff and manage resources.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, hospital procedures, and policies.
