What You’ll Do

  • Provide specialist clinical services for inpatients and outpatients, including outreach activities
  • Manage clinical governance and administrative tasks effectively
  • Lead and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary clinical team

  • Conduct clinical assessments and manage child and adolescent mental health disorders

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Psychiatry
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Psychiatry
  • For Grade 1: None after registration; for Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience; for Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Medical Specialist
  • A valid (code B/EB) driver’s license
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours duties and provide outreach services
  • Strong competencies in clinical assessment, leadership, communication, and problem-solving
