What You’ll Do

  • Provide high-quality Internal Medicine care to patients at Paarl Hospital and the Rural West Ecosystem.
  • Serve as a role model and clinical mentor to junior doctors and clinical staff.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment for undergraduate students and junior staff.
  • Conduct outreach and support services within the community.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with patients, nursing staff, and referral services.
  • Prepare and submit necessary medical reports and documentation.
  • Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to uphold HPCSA registration.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
  • HPCSA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Relevant experience based on the grade applied for (Grade 1: None; Grade 2: 5 years; Grade 3: 10 years).
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Demonstrated experience in Internal Medicine and procedural skills in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of public health policies and effective resource management.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
