What You’ll Do

• Provide quality outpatient care to patients within Primary Health Care facilities
• Deliver emergency care at the 24-hour Emergency Centre
• Conduct outreach services to support health facilities within the Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub-structure
• Manage clinical and non-clinical administrative tasks efficiently
• Participate in training and skills transfer initiatives
• Engage actively in the clinical governance processes of the facilities

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner
• Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner
• Relevant experience as follows:
• Grade 1: No experience required post-registration (SA qualified) or 1 year (foreign qualified)
• Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience post-registration (SA qualified) or 6 years (foreign qualified)
• Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-registration (SA qualified) or 11 years (foreign qualified)
• Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence and willingness to perform COT at Khayelitsha CHC
• Knowledge of South African treatment guidelines (e.g., PACK, IMCI, TB, and HIV care guidelines)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
