What You’ll Do

  • Promote understanding and integration of clinical information technology within healthcare settings.
  • Support organizational goals through data input, analysis, and retrieval.
  • Develop and implement digital patient management tools that enhance clinician workflows.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to improve user functionality of digital tools.
  • Analyze complex problems and present innovative solutions to clinical leaders.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and support of clinical applications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
  • Contribute to documentation and training materials to improve data literacy.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required for SA qualified employees; one year of relevant experience for foreign qualified employees.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years experience as a Medical Practitioner for SA qualified employees; 6 years for foreign qualified employees.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years experience as a Medical Practitioner for SA qualified employees; 11 years for foreign qualified employees.
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in cloud technology (e.g., Azure SQL) and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).
  • Experience working with health information systems and large datasets.
