What You’ll Do
- Coordinate inputs for the development of policies, guidelines, norms, and standards related to local and regional economic development.
- Promote the coordination of Local & Regional Economic Development initiatives across various sectors.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of Local & Regional Economic Development activities to ensure effectiveness.
- Coordinate capacity-building programs to enhance skills and knowledge in local communities.
- Perform administrative and related functions to support the department’s objectives.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, or a relevant qualification.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Constitution of South Africa, and relevant economic development strategies.
- Strong skills in applied strategic thinking, problem analysis, communication, decision-making, and interpersonal relations.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this role.
