What You’ll Do
- Draft and vet contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Provide legal advice on matters arising during contract negotiations.
- Conduct research on legal issues pertinent to contracts and other legal documents.
- Manage external legal experts to ensure timely and sound legal opinions.
- Monitor and assist with Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) requests.
- Maintain a register of legal documents and monitor their outcomes.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and an LLB Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in the legal profession, depending on the level of the position.
- Strong knowledge of South African law and the ability to interpret legal texts.
- Excellent research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to work under pressure.
