What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough legal research on various issues, statutes, and regulations as directed by judges.
• Analyze and summarize complex legal principles to assist in judicial decision-making.
• Prepare comprehensive legal memoranda detailing research findings and recommendations.
• Support judges in the preparation for hearings and trials by providing relevant case law and legal arguments.
• Review and proofread draft judgments to ensure clarity, accuracy, and correctness.
• Monitor and compile legal journals to keep judges informed of recent developments in law.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging legal trends and legislative changes that may affect cases.

What You’ll Need

• An LLB Degree recognized by SAQA (NQF level 8).
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a related legal field, preferably with superior court or litigation experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities, with a solid understanding of South African law.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in report writing and editing.
• A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
